Bachelor of Computer Application (Pokhara University) (BCA)
Eligible Criteria: The candidates should have completed Class 12 examination of NEB or equivalent level from a recognized academic institution. The candidates should have studied a course (having at least 100 full marks or 5 credits) of Mathematics (Mathematics/ Business Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics) or Computer Science/Computer Application in SLCE (class 11 or class 12) examination of NEB or equivalent level. The candidates should have scored a minimum of 45% or a CGPA/GPA of 2.0 (in a scale of 4.0) and at least Grade C (in case of A-level, at least Grade D) or 45% in Mathematics/Computer Science. The minimum criterion of Grade C (in case of A level, Grade D) or 45% does not apply to other courses.
About Program:
Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) is a popular academic program among the students if the 21st century. This is an applied IT program with maximum of IT credit hours offered at this level. This BCA program of Pokhara University has an integration of IT with business and management, which adequately develops the managerial skills with the modern business or organizational aspect. On completion of the program, the graduates will be eligible for getting admission to MCA, MBA, MIS, MIT, MSc. And other master level courses at recognized universities anywhere around the world. Further, the graduates of BCA program will get enough opportunities to work as IT Officer, system developer, system analyst, software engineer, system administrator, etc. within and outside the country.
