Eligible Criteria: Students must pass their intermediate level education from the institute that has received recognition from Tribhuvan University. Students who are planning to get admission to the BSc. General program of TU then you have to attend the entrance exam conducted by IOST, TU. Then, each of the candidates should score a minimum of 50% marks to be eligible to get admitted to this program. IOST, TU takes an entrance exam for prospective students who want to study BSc.general in colleges affiliated with TU. The total marks of this entrance exam is 100 and they have to complete this exam in two hours. In this exam, questions are asked from physics or chemistry, mathematics or biology, and the English curriculum of plus two. This examination certain requirements to be eligible to appear in this examination: 1. Students must have graduated +2 level program from the science faculty and have to pass a subject in English with 100 full marks. 2. Pupils who want to study biology must complete biology and chemistry with a total of 200/200 marks plus two. 3. Candidates who plan to build a career in a physical group then are required to complete physics and mathematics subjects with a total of 200/200 marks in plus two. 4. Students from the A level should score a minimum E grade. 5. Students who have completed their intermediate education from foreign institutes must present an equivalent made by NEB.
BSc general at TU is a 4 year’s undergraduate program that is being run on a year-wise basis. The total marks of the BSc. general is 2000 including theory and practical. In the first years of this program, students have to choose three core subjects from physical or biological groups. In addition to that, all enrolled students have to study scientific communication as a compulsory subject. In the second year, you have to study the same subjects that students have studied in their first year. This year, every student has to study applied statistics. In the third year, all students can drop one subject from their second year. Students from all the groups have to study research methodology as their compulsory subject. Pupils have to study two elective subjects from their respective faculty groups. In the fourth year, learners should choose two subjects from their major course. They can either select project work or applied science. One compulsory subject of the computational course. Pupils can choose one interdisciplinary course.
